Item Digital Currency Market Research: The Example оf Ukraine(Scientific and practical journal "Economics and technical engineering", 2024-06-26) Serhii Hushko; Olena Burunova; Iryna Maksimova; Hanna Purii; Volodymyr KulishovThe article examines the theory and mechanisms of the functioning of the digital currency (cryptocurrency) market, reviews the latest publications of international scientists and experts, analyzes the digital currency market and its impact on both global and Ukrainian economy and financial system, the formation of trends and perceptions of circulation currencies, separation and connection with the real economy, defines methods of evaluating the effectiveness of investing in cryptocurrency assets on the global financial market, as well as opportunities and risks related to the use of cryptocurrency in the digital economy. Outlines of the Ukrainian digital currency market development, overcoming problems, ways of their solving, and certain conclusions are made. The article uses informational, comparative, institutional, complex approaches, and also adheres to the principles of objectivity, specificity, and systematicity, which give opportunity for a detailed and comprehensive study of the digital currency market. In the long term, the global digital economic development of each country may depend to a large extent on how well it adapts to the digital currency market. The analysis of the global cryptocurrency market reveals that the growing need for transparency and operational efficiency of financial payment systems, growing demand for remittances in developing countries, increasing market capitalization and strengthening data security are the main factors contributing to the development of the digital currency market. It was investigated that digital currencies as a means of payment are not yet sufficiently widespread in Ukraine due to the uncertain position of state authorities. The development of digital currencies in the country is mainly related to the investment activity of representatives of the IT sector in this financial instrument. It is assumed that by increasing consumer confidence, promoting it with the help of marketing techniques and tools, strengthening the security of this entire system and clarifying its legal status, it will gradually be integrated into the overall national and global financial system.Item Global Economy and Ukraine's Geo-Economic Priorities(Scientific and practical journal "Economics and technical engineering", 2024-12-25) Hanna Purii; Andrii Shaikan; Oleh Padalka; Volodymyr Kulishov; Olena HushkoThe article researches the transformation of the economic system in modern realities, defines the main theoretical principles of geoeconomic policy formation in the conditions of geopolitical challenges, analyses the dynamics of the global economy and its state, forecasts the opportunities for the functioning of Ukraine under conditions of geoeconomics as well as considers possible scenarios for the formation of the geoeconomic policy of Ukraine and their priorities. Since gaining independence, Ukraine has been rebuilding its geoeconomic policy strategy. Even before Ukraine started changing its geoeconomic policy due to the events in the east of the country, the state had not decided which vector to choose and where to move next, and the main principle was to achieve multi-vector cooperation with the EU and the West in the economic, political and military spheres, while being completely dependent on Russia, including production that was oriented to the markets of the CIS countries. The relevance of the study is obvious, as Ukraine has been in martial law for more than a year. This explains many economic problems, the caution of foreign investors to enter Ukraine, and even the lack of competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy in foreign markets. Therefore, there is an urgent need to transform Ukraine's geo-economic priorities. The purpose of the study is to transform the economic system of Ukraine and to outline the main principles of Ukraine's geo-economic priorities. In accordance with the topic, the article solves the following tasks: - to study the theoretical foundations of geoeconomic policy formation; - outline the challenges of the global world and Ukraine's reforms in the global transformation; - to propose the Ukrainian dimension of new geoeconomic priorities. The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological foundations of Ukraine's geo-economic priorities. The object of the study is the process of researching Ukraine's geo-economic priorities. To solve the tasks set in the work, general scientific research methods and a number of specific methods of scientific research cognition were used, namely: scientific abstraction, comparison, grouping, systematization, graphical, statistical, economic analysis and logical analysis.Item Merger and Acquisition Synergy Study: the Case of Ukraine(Scientific and practical journal "Economics and technical engineering", 2023-10-25) Hanna Purii; Iluta Arbidane; Iryna Maksimova; Oleh Padalka; Volodymyr KulishovThe article examines theories and mechanisms of mergers and acquisitions, analyzes recent publications of international and national scholars and experts, provides various points of view on definition and interpretation of mergers and acquisitions, and offers the author's version of this concept. The article considers synergies that are competitive from an economic point of view, analyzes trends and the latest M&A schemes, suggests possible scenarios in the Ukrainian market, problems and ways to solve them, and draws certain conclusions. Merger and acquisition (M&A) have become a foremost strategic alliance for business, product and logistics in global environment. Using meta-literature review, a general analysis was carried out on M&A to assess motives, methods, financing sources, announcement effects, cross-border competitions, success-failure, valuation issues, and business strategies. It is highlighted in the study the main problems and weaknesses of Ukrainian companies that hinder effective IPOs are the following: a requirement on the part of domestic legislation to issue shares of companies in the national currency; prohibition by Ukrainian legislation to issue more than 25% of shares abroad; the need for the company to comply with all the requirements of a public company; the need to demonstrate stable and long-term dynamics of financial indicators and other components of financial statements; availability of financial resources to go through all stages of preparation and conduct of the IPO (5-20% of the placement amount); inconsistency of the provisions of national legislation with the requirements of foreign stock exchanges; differences in accounting and tax reporting with foreign companies. Despite the fairly widespread global use of M&A transactions in the corporate sector, Ukrainian market is not yet able to effectively use them as a tool for crisis management and preservation of the economic potential of companies due to serious legal gaps, economic problems of corporate and public administration, high political and financial risks of an unstable economy, low business culture and ethics.Item Methodology for Researching Digital Diplomacy in the New Era of Sustainable Development and Climate Change(Scientific and practical journal "Economics and technical engineering", 2023-11-15) Irina Maksymova; Kira Vyshnevska; Rodion Lavrenko; Maryna Baida; Volodymyr KulishovThe article examines into the contemporary theories and concepts surrounding the current landscape of digital diplomacy on both global and national scales. It explores the role of digital diplomacy in shaping the foreign policies of nations, with a specific focus on Ukraine's efforts in promoting and addressing international issues. The authors defines modern theoretical foundations of digital diplomacy, and disloses categorial discourse of digital diplomacy within terms of web-diplomacy, twiplomacy and others. The novelty of this work lies in the interpretation of digital diplomacy as a tool for supporting social and economic recovery, and the characterization of social media as a tool for digital diplomacy in the context of geopolitical challenges and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The authors set logical coherence between digital diplomacy and environmental diplomacy. Effective digital diplomacy relies on top-notch information and analytical efforts, demanding well-coordinated actions fueled by significantly enhanced information support and rigorous analytical processing. This approach is pivotal for advancing global challenges and achieving SDG. The contemporary information and communication infrastructure empowers diplomatic strategies to pivot towards climate objectives. Proposals are made to improve the system of digital diplomacy as a new paradigm of international relations, the level, possibilities and feasibility of implementing the use of digital diplomacy tools in Ukraine are determined. Authors substantiate the idea, that evolution of digital diplomacy encompasses critical areas such as advocating for climate-centric practices, bolstering digital inclusion and accessibility, resolving conflicts, advancing digital government and transparency, delivering diplomacy through digital channels, and driving cross-border humanitarian endeavors alongside sustainable infrastructure development.
